Aromatherapy
To reduce stress and anxiety, stimulate your senses and fill your home with scented candles. It only takes a minute to light a candle and then wait for the fragrance to disperse into every room. By using scents that are known for their soothing qualities, like Sweet Lavender, citrus and other florals, you can turn your house into a calming sanctuary.
Long Bath
Relax your muscles and de-stress with a long, relaxing bubble bath. Put on some calming sea music, dim the lights, light a Seasalt scented candle and chill out. Take this time out for yourself to ease your joints and let the pain float away – less aches means a relaxed body and mind.
Meditation
Not for everyone, but definitely worth a try to help you relax; surround yourself with the scent from your reed diffuser, and clear your mind. If you continue to regularly use this relaxation tool, it could lead to a more positive attitude and a stronger resilience towards stress.
Early Bed Time
Jump into bed and snuggle down around 30 minutes before you normally do to try and unwind before falling asleep. Using scents like Bergamot, as seen in our Teacup fragrance, will help you switch your mind off and lead to a good night’s sleep.
Alone Time
Finally, take some time out and embrace your own company; collect your thoughts and clear your head to help you relax and chill out. It doesn’t have to be for extended periods of time, but it is definitely important to find time for yourself.
Everyone enjoys something different, whether it’s going for a walk, reading a book or cosying up in front of the television and a movie, make time for it! Make sure you incorporate scented candles and reed diffusers into these moments too, to help you truly relax. Self-care is very important for your health and wellbeing, so don’t put it off or find excuses, treat yourself and enjoy.
